Adding Stars to the Model - Manual method.
This page show the steps to add one star to the Model and look at the parameters
using the manual method.  There is also a semi-automatic method that you can use.
  1. There are two different ways to do this
You can Press the "MENU" button.
You can Press the GoTo Button.

  2. Select ALIGN

 3. Select GoTo Bright Star

Please Note: The best way is to start with objects is for the first two to be at least 4 hours or more away from each other, and then add more objects in between them. So far the HC checks only for HA and elevation, not for
distances between the objects, but the hour angles are displayed for each object, so you can select it manually. Some times stars seem to be
far away from each other despite having similar right ascensions. Doing this will insure that the model converges more quickly to a set of
good parameters. In other words, just do not take the stars in the order they appear.

If you pick a star with +/- 4 HA then you are probably going to cause a meridian flip.

  4. Select Capella please
